What is a thermal bridge?

Having a wall or a roof with 2 different materials and a different thermal conductivity leads to thermal bridges. Vapor condensing on the cooler of the materials can lead to mould fungus.

Typical places where this occurs are lintels and joists, where the ceiling abuts the wall.

How to avoid thermal bridges with Styro Stones?

The lintel of Styro Stone is insulated on 3 sides (U-Profile) and does not admit thermal bridges.

The ceiling end stone of Styro Stone has an exterior height of 35 cm and therefore avoids thermal bridges on the joists, where the ceiling is placed on the walls.

The KOOLTILE for external roof installation has tongue & groove edges on all 4 sides (U-Profile) for seamless insulation that does not allow heat leakages. The molded tile has uniform density for high R-Value.
