Installing KOOLTILE

The process combines the following steps

  • application of a bitumenous waterproofing layer over the smooth RCC slab & fixing the insulation tiles above it
  • KOOLTILE on your roof gives an insulation that is uniform, airtight, free from thermal bridges (see below).
  • next step is to provide an adequate gradient with screed, for effective water drainage.
  • all terrace finishing options, e.g. mosaic, stone or brick tiles, can be easily installed above the screed.

Now your roof will be protected from cracks & resultant seepage and leakage for many years.

  • How does KOOLTILE make your roof free from thermal leaks or heat bridges?

It is possible to ensure 100% insulation due to the special Design features of KOOLTILEs :

    * Molded EPS tiles (800mm x 600mm) with tongue and groove edges for airtight, monolithic insulation & easy application.

    * Light weight but with adequate compressive strength for ease of transportation and handling & also strong enough to withstand the load of even the heaviest of diesel generator sets on the terace.

    * In-built shuttering design ensures saving of time & labour for installation of final finishing material on terrace.
